Pipe Band Competition starting at 2:00 p.m.

Projected Schedule*: Saturday Mid-Morning--Grade V and Grade IV Solo Pipers
Check-in starting at 9:00 a.m. for Grade V and IV

9:00 a.m. --Grade V Practice Chanter (Event #1)
9:30 p.m. --Grade IV Piobaireachd (ground + the next var.) (Event #2)
followed by: --Grade IV 6/8 March (Event #3)
--Grade IV Slow March (Event #4)
--Grade IV 2/4 March (Event #5)
* Schedules are subject to change. Events may be canceled if there are not enough entries considered to hold the particular event.

Pipe Bands: Saturday only

Grade IV and V Pipe Bands
Draw for playing time at 11:00 a.m.


No mid-day massed bands to worry about! Stay in the shade,
or visit vendor row, instead (it, too, is in the shade--mostly).

Pipe Bands will compete starting at 2:00 p.m.
Bands will be competing on the green grass of the baseball field.



First Event: Grade IV Time-Limit Medley
Prize Money: 1st--$200 2nd--$150 3rd--$100

Second Event: Grade V Quick March Medley (after Grade IV TLM)
Prize Money: 1st--$150 2nd--$100 3rd--$75

Third Event: Grade IV Quick March Medley (after Grade V QMM)
Prize Money: 1st--$200 2nd--$150 3rd--$100

No travel (appearance) money.

Elizabeth Alternative Massed Band requirement: each band to do one 10-15 minute show inside the Saucy Wench Pub after the pipe band competition at a time agreed upon by both the band and the organizers (between 3-5 pm). Some games have a beer tent: we have a beer house. Results announced at 5:00 p.m. at the Saucy Wench Pub.




On Sunday, July 22nd--

Projected Schedule*: Sunday Mid-Morning and into the early afternoon--Grade III Solo Pipers

Check-in starting at 10:00 a.m.
10:30 a.m. Grade III Piobaireachd (Event #9)
...followed by:
-- Grade III 2/4 March (Event #10)
-- Grade III Strathspey & Reel (Event #11)
-- Grade III 6/8 March (Event #12)
-- Grade III Jig (Event #13)

Grade II Events will alternate with Grade III Events--schedule will be posted at registration tent.

Competitions will be held under the shade of dozens of tall pine trees in "The Pipers' Woods," which is now close to the Breckenridge Saucy Wench Pub (the same place as last year--see map on home page). The photo above shows the environment that the competition will be in (that was Piper Kyle Andrews competing).


PIPERS: Please submit your tune names, so that we can try to have informaion about your tune. If you know something about the tune or want to share something interesting about yourself, we want it! Please use the back of the entry form for this.

Also: Please send us a digital photo of you in Kilted Attire with your pipes (or piping), and we'll try to put it on the website...why should the stage entertainers get all the website exposure?
