Artisans create painting, pottery, woven items, and more...and are on hand to talk about their work, to display their work and to possibly sell their work.
Some of our Artisans since 2006: Elizabeth H.S. Art Club, Liquid Fire Pottery & Paintings, Artists Janine & Mike Thornton, DBD Crafts, Connie's Creations, The Mirrored View (Artist Andrew Gillette), and Joshua Stone from Sterling.
This year, artisans and craft exhibitors will be in the pine trees of Casey Jones Park (just south of the baseball fields).

2008 Elizabeth Celtic Festival
Artisan / Craft Exhibitor-Seller
Information in a nutshell
Artisan / Craft Exhibitors-Sellers (hereafter called Artisans) are defined as displaying and selling items which
are hand-made by the seller in relatively small quantities. This would include paintings, sketches, pottery,
hand-made crafts, and so on. This does not include Jewelry. If you have a lot of things to sell, then you would
fall under the (Merchandise) Vendor regulations for this festival. Any questions will be resolved by Wendy
Hiserote, supervising the Artisan area this year. The cost of being a Merchandise Vendor at this festival
is $150 for a 10' x 10' space; for Artisans it is $25 for a 10' x 10' space ($50 for a 20' x 10' space).
Artisans may choose to come only one day or both days--the fee is the same either way. Application Deadline is
July 1st, 2008. Each Artisan will receive 4 tickets for each day, 1 parking pass, plus location map;
this packet will be mailed on July 5th.
Artisans will be located just uphill of the Pavilion Building at the beginning of "Dunvegan Lane."
Self-Contained: Each artisan must be self-contained--please bring your own tents, tables and chairs. If you
have a question, ask Wendy Hiserote (303-646-0152).
Check-in & set-up: Recommended check-in and set-up is on Friday afternoon, starting at 4:00 p.m. (ending at
8:00 p.m.). In most cases you will be able to drive your vehicle next to your tent site to off-load.
Everyone must check-in first before off-loading and setting up.
Early Saturday morning set-up: Vehicle access for off-loading from 7:00-8:00 a.m. All vehicles must be off the
grounds by 8:30 a.m.; "Gates open at 9:00 a.m." for the public. The normal main entrance to Casey Jones Park
(next to the Pavilion Building) is access point for Artisans and Community Organizations for Saturday morning,
but there will be a lot of pressure at this entrance, so it's really important to have someone take your car
back around to main parking area off of Road 17--you have to off-load and move--there will be many other cars
coming in behind you. You absolutely can't set up your tent, then move your car...the car has got to go and
get parked first. Access to your tent site may be not as convienient.
You must stay the whole day: If you come, you agree that you will stay until official closing time: 5:00 p.m.
on Saturday and 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. No exceptions, please.
Camping: The camping rate at the Festival site (Casey Jones Park) is $50 for an RV, Trailer or "things on wheels"
(no hook-ups) and $20 for a tent. There is just one rate and it's good for the entire Festival. You can opt
to camp at the Elbert County Fairgrounds, 7 miles east, for $30 for an RV/Trailer (hook-ups are available)
or $10 for a tent. Register on the application form. Showers will be available at the Elbert County Fairgrounds
at specific times; campers must be registered and show "shower pass" to use showers.
