The 2010 Elizabeth Celtic Festival

Non-Profit Community Organization Involvement

We're proud to be part of this community, and to involve and benefit community organizations. In the last few years, we've had groups like the Running Creek PTCO raised funds and awareness at this Celtic Festival, as well as the Elizabeth High School Art Club. In connection with the Celtic Festival, the Elizabeth High School Boys Golf Team hosted a "Celtic Golf Tournament" at Spring Valley Golf Course in 2006.

Participating Non-Profit Community Groups

Check back closer to July to see what groups will be attending.

Daughters of the British Empire

(Above) Composite photo of two of the local branch organizers of the Daughters of the British Empire, in their location for this year's Elizabeth Celtic Festival along "Aberdeen Lane" (the grass will be mowed at Festival time). They were here last year, promoting their group, and are nice people to talk to.
From their website:

The Elizabethan Tudors is our newest Chapter and welcomes ladies from Parker, Elizabeth, Kiowa, Castle Rock, and the surrounding communities. The ladies in this Chapter almost immediately became active in their community. One of their projects is to create and sew cloth bags to hold a variety of toiletries that will then be given to the Women's Crisis Center. Most of the toiletries have been collected by members while traveling. Some member's are involved with the Needle Arts Guild so are busy knitting and crocheting hats, bootees, shawls and baby blankets for the Premature Baby unit at the Parker Adventist Hospital.

This Chapter usually meets on the third Sunday of each month however it is best to call the Regent, Jacqui Colby at 303-683-7354 for information on when and where their next meeting will be held.

Come visit them, you will be given a warm welcome and a good cup of tea.
