Help us Promote the 2009 Elizabeth Celtic Festival
at TWO Parades celebrating St. Patrick:
Saturday, March 14: the Denver St. Patrick's Day Parade
Sunday, March 15: the Sedalia St. Patrick's Day Parade
What we do:
We have a float (towed by a pickup truck) that looks like a castle, around which we have marchers
either performing (piping, dancing, sword fighting) and people handing out discount coupons for the Festival.
This helps build awareness for the Elizabeth Celtic Festival at one of the largest St. Patrick's Day Parades
in America. We get feedback that this does make a difference, even this far in advance of our event.

Left: Getting underway. Right: Going down Blake Street.
Denver Details for Saturday, March 14:
Our unit number: Division 2 - Unit 58 (or unit "2-58")
Where we meet: The Float and the Parade Line-up is in Coors Field Parking Lot B. Specifically, the
organizers will have two rows for all the parade units...we're in the outer (northern) row called DUBLIN STREET.
Our "address" is "258 Dublin Street." (Division 1 is in "Limerick Street" which is closer to the warehouses and Blake St.)
How to get to the Line-up: We recommend that you park in Coors Field Parking Lot A (Enter at 23rd & Wazee). It will
cost money to park (sorry...it's Downtown Denver...almost anywhere will cost money to park). There is a bridge that
links Lot A to Lot B (which is further away from Coors Field); take the bridge and stay to the left, and you should
find the float (evenutally!)

When to meet: While the parade actually starts just a little bit before 10:00 a.m., we are about 150 units back(!),
so our "show up time" is 10:00 a.m. (officially). We probably will step-off around 11:30 or even a little later.

Left: "They loved their castle."
Right: Jenna MacGregor handing out coupons along the Parade--between everyone, we gave out around 3,000--Wow!

Left: Dancing down at Union Station--These are the Highland Dancers of the Colorado Youth Pipe Band.
Right: The End of the parade (but not the end of walking!)...GREAT JOB!
