Keeping the Faith: The Sedalia St. Patrick's Day Parade
Sun., March 16, 2008
We think that this wonderful small parade started 12 years ago and that this is the 13th year.
Why have a St. Patrick's Day Parade in a small town like Sedalia? Because there's a place
called O'Brien's Cafe and they got it started and have kept it going.
It was really neat to have the Castle Rock Young Marines marching in the parade.

Left to Right: Bob Bruce, Heather Bruce, Pete Lindt, Jake Stephens, Jim Campbell, Neil Gillette, Jeff Rutt and Charlie Cook.
(Not pictured: Frank Rodriquez...and Rachel Bruce, who is taking the photo)

Relaxing at O'Brien's Cafe after the parade, with corned beef and cabbage soon to come.
Jim Campbell, with Frank Rodriquez (who drove the float) and his oldest son, Monroe (who is Jim Campbell's grandson).
We had five members of the 79th Highlanders marching, with three coupon distributors, and one wonderful Highland Dancer: Heather Bruce.
Thanks to Bob and Rachel Bruce and daughter Heather for coming and helping, as well as Jeff Rutt (Clan Henderson and Festival Treasurer),
Jim Campbell (Festival security coordinator), Jake Stephens, Pete Lindt, Charlie Cook and Frank Rodriquez.
Thanks to the Donna of O'Brien's Cafe (and her Mom), who continue to organize this parade, then throw the party afterwards.
